After a few missed opportunities, notably by Khephren Thuram (6th) and Kenan Yildiz (16th), Turin took the lead thanks to an error from Maduka Okoye, who sent the ball into her own goal (20th, 0-1). Nicolo Savona then doubled the lead for his team shortly before half-time, with a shot from the area which landed on the left of the opposing goal (37th, 0-2).
