There is nothing better to fuel conspiracy theories. After the Ballon d’Or verdict, and Rodri’s surprise victory over Vinicius Jr, comments from Alexander Ceferin circulated on social networks. In these statements, the UEFA president spoke quite critically about Vinicius Jr, notably criticizing the behavior of the Real Madrid striker.
While UEFA has no link with the Ballon d’Or election, entirely managed by France Football, the European body has completely denied the comments attributed to its leader.
“We categorically deny the allegations circulating regarding UEFA’s alleged comments on the Ballon d’Or result.
