Thomas Müller is preparing to end his adventure at Bayern Munich at the end of the season. According to information from the German sports daily Bild published this Wednesday, the German striker, who made his debut with Roten in 2009, is engaged in his 17th and final season in Bavarian colors.
When his contract expires next June, the 2014 world champion could opt for a new adventure in MLS in the United States. Otherwise, he could follow the example of his former teammate Toni Kroos by hanging up his boots for good.
The end of an era
Still according to the media from across the Rhine, no extension would be considered on the Allianz Arena side. Müller’s departure is expected to coincide with that of another club legend: Manuel Neuer, whose lease also ends this summer.
If the 38-year-old goalkeeper still occupies the starting place at Bayern, the “Raumdeuter” is content this season with limited playing time. He has 4 starts in 12 appearances for a record of 3 goals and 3 assists since the start of the 2024-25 financial year.
