Real Madrid is considering the departure of Aurélien Tchouaméni, disappointed by his performances. Eduardo Camavinga could well succeed him in the Merengue midfield.

Real Madrid are considering parting ways with Aurélien Tchouameni after just two seasons deemed disappointing. Recruited for 80 million euros in 2022 and designated as the future leader of the midfield, the interim captain of the France team failed to meet the expectations of Casa Blanca.

According to Relevothe Frenchman’s recent performances, particularly during the Clasico (0-4), have confirmed the doubts of the Madrid management. Only Carlo Ancelotti continues to support him, although his appearances are becoming rarer in favor of Eduardo Camavinga, the club’s favorite for the defensive midfielder position.

Camavinga to replace Tchouameni?

Now considered replaceable, the former Monegasque sees his status decline, especially as Real Madrid would like to repatriate Rodri, the 2024 Ballon d’Or, next summer. With a contract until 2028, Aurélien Tchouameni retains good market value, and Madrid is open to offers without selling him off.

The Blues player’s inability to stabilize the defense or effectively replace legends like Casemiro and Toni Kroos seems to weigh heavily in the balance.
