Six years after the 2018 Champions League final, Jürgen Klopp has still not digested Mohamed Salah’s injury caused by Sergio Ramos. In the podcast Einfach mal Lupen, hosted by Toni Kroos, the German manager returned to this significant event, where Liverpool was beaten by Real Madrid (1-3).
The Madrid defender pushed the Reds striker to leave the field in the 30th minute after a brutal foul, a gesture which remains engraved in Klopp’s memory. “If Ramos is a good guy? He’s not my favorite player. The action was brutal, and we all know he did it with great pleasure.”he said.
Klopp refuses to forgive
Now at the head of Red Bull’s football department, the former LFC coach also explained that he never accepts this type of mentality in his teams: “I’ve never had players like that. When I had them, I made sure they left”.
