After their spectacular 4-4 against Juventus last Sunday, Inter resumed their march forward by slapping Empoli at home 3-0. A double from Frattesi (50th, 67th) and the 4th achievement in the league this season from Lautaro Martinez were enough for the Nerazzurri, well helped by the expulsion of Goglichidze (31st) to come back to within 4 points of the Neapolitan leader, winner yesterday of the AC Milan (2-0).

In the other match at the start of the evening, Venice overthrew Udinese, who led by a break thanks to Lovric (19th) and Bravo (25th). A first penalty from Pohjanpalo before the break (41st), then Nicolussi Caviglia (56th) and a second penalty from Pohjanpalo at the end of the match (86th) offered an unexpected success. The Venetians kill two birds with one stone as they leave last place to move up to 18th place. The Frioul club misses the mark of getting back on the podium and remains 7th.

The results of the 6:30 p.m. matches:

Empoli 0 – 3 Inter : Frattesi (50th, 67th), Martinez (79th)

Venice 3 – 2 Udinese: Pohjanpalo (sp 41st, sp 86th), Nicolussi Caviglia (56th); Lovric (19th), Bravo (25th)
