Rumor is growing around Ruben Amorim and a possible transfer to Manchester United, in search of a replacement for Erik ten Hag, dismissed following the poor results of the club, currently 14th in the Premier League. While discussions between the coach of Sporting CP and Manchester would have been started, Amorim preferred to dodge the subject at a press conference, simply saying he was “very proud” to lead Sporting and adding: “I have nothing to say at the moment.”
Manchester United: growing interest in Amorim
Manchester United have reportedly expressed interest in the Portuguese technician, already closely followed by several major European clubs. To free Ruben Amorim of his contract, the Red Devils will have to pay his release clause, estimated at 10 million euros. Other names are also being circulated for Ten Hag’s succession, including those of Gareth Southgate and Xavi, but Amorim appears to be at the top of the list, reinforcing speculation around his future.
