The native of Bondy notably paid a disappointing Euro 2024 price with the French team. 6ehowever, this is not its worst place. In 2021, he finished 9e. Note, however, that he has always been in the Top 10 since his first nomination in 2018.
Mbappé still won a prize
Mbappé, who is currently very criticized in Spain after his failed Clasico, could still have consoled himself with a prize if he had taken part in the ceremony. The Gerd Muller Trophy, which rewards the top scorer, was awarded to him. He was joint winner with Harry Kane.
If Mbappé did not join Paris, it is because Real Madrid chose to boycott the event. The Merengue got wind of the fact that it was Rodri who won the Ballon d’Or and not Vinicius Jr and they did not accept this failure.
