Everton: the Premier League relaxes its sanction

For the last match of this Saturday in the Premier League, Everton (16th) hosted Fulham (11th) at Goodison Park (Liverpool). On the side of ToffeesSean Dyche had lined up the same eleven which had won at Ipswich Town (0-2), the previous weekend. Opposite, Marco Silva counted on Adama Traoré, Emile Smith-Rowe, Alex Iwobi and Raúl Jiménez in attack, to allow Fulham to return to winning ways, after two defeats in a row (against Manchester City, 3-2 and against Aston Villa, 1-3).

We didn’t have to wait until the locker room returned to see the score unlocked. After an acceleration from Smith-Rowe in the Everton camp, the English midfielder serves Iwobi at the edge of the area. The Nigerian international lands a low shot with his right foot, unstoppable for Jordan Pickford (0-1, 63rd). But while Fulham thought they were leaving with victory, Beto appeared out of nowhere to snatch the equalizer for Everton in the final seconds of added time (90th+5, 1-1). With this parity score (1-1), Fulham climbs to 10th place in the Premier League standings. Everton are provisionally 15th.
