After Atlético Madrid’s defeat against LOSC (1-3), Wednesday evening in the Champions League, Diego Simeone had a surprising reaction when asked for his opinion on Lille coach Bruno Genesio.
Questioned by a Canal+ journalist, Simeone first responded ” Who ? »seeming not to know his counterpart. Once informed, he quickly corrected by praising Genesio’s work, calling it “very good trainer”, which has proven itself for years.
Simeone finally recognizes Genesio
Despite this embarrassing moment, the Colchoneros manager then paid tribute to Genesio during his press conference, explaining that his team had not been sharp enough and recognizing the good Lille defense.
He even added that “Genesio is a great coach, he shows it all the time,” thus reinforcing the prestige of the LOSC coach, winner of a new European achievement.
