Marquinhos does not see Kylian Mbappé Ballon d’Or

Marquinhos recounts his best moment at PSG

It’s the worst kept secret in the world. Barring a last minute twist, Vinicius Júnior will indeed be the 2024 Ballon d’Or, elected next Monday at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris. Author of an exceptional season, punctuated by a coronation in the Champions League, and incidentally a La Liga title, the Brazilian emerges as the big favorite.

A coronation which would put an end to 17 years of drought for Brazil, rewarded for the last time in 2007 with Kaka. In an interview given to TNT Sports BrazilMarquinhos spoke on the subject and indicated that Vinicius was indeed his favorite, ahead of Bellingham, Rodri or even his former teammate Kylian Mbappé: “the Ballon d’Or? It’s clear, it’s already Vinicius’s, it’s his. It’s time for the Ballon d’Or to return to Brazil.”
