Criticized a few seasons ago, Bruno Génésio has established himself as one of the best coaches in Ligue 1. The current coach of Lille OSC is one of these confirmed but underrated coaches.

Winner of Real Madrid on the second day of the Champions League (1-0), the French coach wants his players to continue the same momentum on the pitch of Atletico de Madrid this Wednesday evening at the Wanda Metropolitano.

In an interview given to Marcathe former manager of Olympique Lyonnais did not fail to compliment the Spanish teams and their championship. The 58-year-old has made no secret of his attraction to La Liga and revealed he would like to manage a Spanish team one day.

“I like Spanish football because, whatever the team, we take risks, we play well, it’s a football country, a public that knows football. Spain is one of the countries where you want to go and train. I went to Lyon, Rennes, Lille and I had the chance to play in the Champions League where I went, but it’s true that it would be interesting to train in Spain,” he blurted. Words which should surely make certain French observers react.
