FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has been charged with alleged fraud for the second time in a month.

According to Cadena Ser, Laporta is under investigation for alleged fraud for the second time in a month. He and his former partner, Joan Olive, are accused of failing to return €50,000 to a private investor.

Between 2016 and 2018, Laporta and Olive reportedly raised funds from several investors for a company they run. Today they are accused of not having returned the money invested. They are already under investigation for failing to return €4.7 million to another complainant.

Two complaints in a row for fraud

Laporta reportedly invested the money in a company called Reus, which eventually went bankrupt, and a Hong Kong company with the aim of building a house in Asia. Today, the lawyer leading the case says he was never informed of what happened to the money.

According to the report, Laporta could soon find himself at the end of another trial, with another victim apparently planning to come forward.
