After a period of international break, Ligue 1 has finally resumed its rights. While AS Monaco could not do better than a draw against LOSC on Friday evening, Paris Saint-Germain, held in check by OGC Nice during their last outing, is preparing, with its side, to cross swords with the Racing Club de Strasbourg, seventh in the ranking. Runner-up to the Monegasques at kick-off, the capital club will have no room for error and will have to pocket all three points to stay in touch, and why not even regain the lead.
A victory which would also allow the Rouge et Bleu to build confidence, three days before receiving PSV Eindhoven on the European scene. However, the mission will not be easy for Luis Enrique’s men, especially against the Alsatians who have an attractive team and an already well-oiled game. Confident of his strengths, the Spanish technician should align his traditional 4-3-3 with Gianluigi Donnarumma in the cages, and a very reworked quartet to protect him.
