After the victories of RB Leipzig and Freiburg earlier in the day, Bayern Munich had no room for error against German vice-champions Stuttgart in this clash of the 7th day of the Bundesliga. On the Bavarian side, Vincent Kompany decided to line up Dayot Upamecano and Michael Olise, while Sebastian Hoeness did without Enzo Millot at kick-off. After a fairly dull first period, Bayern Munich came back with better intentions and ended up finding the solution, thanks to Harry Kane (1-0, 57th).

The English international did it again three minutes later (2-0, 60th), before scoring a seventh hat-trick in the colors of Bayern (3-0, 80th). Kingsley Coman, who came on in the 68th minute, completed this victory with his first league goal of the season (4-0, 89th). With this new success, the Munich residents regain the lead in the German championship, with a better goal difference than Leizpig, and can concentrate on their trip to Barcelona in the Champions League. Stuttgart, which has not won since September 22, is in ninth place.
