A few hours after Borussia Dortmund’s victory against Sankt Pauli (2-1), the 7th day of the Bundesliga continued this Saturday, with five posters scheduled for 3:30 p.m. In the clash at the top of the table, Bayer Leverkusen, reigning German champion, welcomed third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt at kick-off. In a fast-paced meeting where both teams had the opportunity to win, it was ultimately the locals who pocketed the three points. Trailing after the opening score of the unstoppable Marmoush (0-1, 16th, sp), Xabi Alonso’s men turned the tide thanks to Andrich (1-1, 25th) and Boniface (2-1, 71st) and thanked Jonathan Tah, author of an extremis return to his line in the final seconds (90th). A victory which allows Leverkusen to move up to 4th place, just ahead of its opponent of the day.

In the other matches, Gladbach for its part overthrew Heidenheim (3-2) thanks to Itakura (22nd) and a double from Kleindienst (62nd, 75th sp). Fifth at kick-off, Fribourg, buoyed by achievements from Grifo (34th), Lienhart (37th) and Günter (45+1st), continued against Augsburg (3-1) and moved up to 2nd place. On the Mainz pitch, Leipzig won by relying on the prowess of Simons (20th) and Orban (37th). A success which makes the RBL the new leader of the Bundesliga while waiting for the Bayern Munich match, against Stuttgart. Finally, Hoffenheim won against Bochum (3-1).
