The LFP Joint Appeals Committee will announce its decision on October 25 concerning the financial dispute between Kylian Mbappé and PSG. The Real Madrid striker is demanding 55 million euros from his former club, including unpaid wages and bonuses. In August 2023, Mbappé was sidelined by the French champions after his refusal to extend his contract, aiming to ensure the Parisian club a transfer fee before his free departure for Casa Blanca at the end of the season.
Tensions exacerbated by the affair in Sweden
The LFP legal commission initially recommended mediation, but when Mbappé refused, it then ordered PSG to pay the sum within eight days. The capital club appealed this decision, and discussions have continued to this day.
This dispute comes as the Bondy kid is also mentioned in a Swedish rape investigation, although his name has not been officially cited by the authorities. Mbappé denounced these accusations as “fake news”, linking this media campaign to the ongoing hearing against Paris Saint-Germain.
