According to the daily Sport, FC Barcelona is looking for an heir to Robert Lewandowski. Blaugrana president Joan Laporta wants to bring a big name to the club before the end of his mandate.
Haaland (24) would be at the top of the list of targeted players. An ambitious plan, but the Blaugrana club will do everything possible to reach an agreement next summer.
It will be Haaland or Williams
FC Barcelona believes it can achieve its goals because Laporta maintains good relations with the Norwegian player’s agent Rafaela Pimenta. It is not certain that the leaders of Man City hear it that way. Haaland is their number one offensive weapon and they have no plans to part with him at all.
Barcelona will also reconsider Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams if price and wage demand are at the same level next year. The Spain international has a buyout clause of 58 million euros. It will remain unchanged if the player does not extend his contract with Athletic Bilbao. Both Haaland and Williams are under contract until the summer of 2027.
