A former Barça target on his way to Madrid?

Real Madrid are targeting Bayer Leverkusen’s Jérémie Frimpong to replace Dani Carvajal, who is injured until the end of the season. An offensive is expected in 2025, with a release clause set at 40 million euros.

Real Madrid are already preparing for the future after Dani Carvajal’s long-term injury, a big blow for Carlo Ancelotti’s team. The Madrid club is examining the transfer market and according to Sky Sport, has set its sights on Jérémie Frimpong, talented right defender from Bayer Leverkusen, who was also a priority target for FC Barcelona.

Frimpong, an attractive profile for summer 2025

Author of an excellent start to the season with a goal and five assists in ten matches, Frimpong has established himself as a pillar of Bayer under the orders of Xabi Alonso. His consistency and offensive ability make him an option of choice for Real, who would consider going on the offensive from the summer of 2025. The Dutch full-back is linked to Leverkusen until 2028, but his release clause is set at 40 million of euros makes it accessible for the Merengues.
