For several years, MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) has caused a sensation in France. The numerous fights attract more and more people, including footballers who are often seen in the stands. Achraf Hakimi, Ousmane Dembélé, Layvin Kurzawa and even Kylian Mbappé were present during the Jordan Zebo – Cédric Doumbé fight a year ago. If the UFC is the most powerful MMA organization in the world, France also has its own, called Ares Fighting Championship.

Last May, the investment fund SLAM (acronym for sport, luxury, arts and music) and Ciryl Gane (French UFC MMA champion) bought this organization to make a group called AresMMA. Several high-level international athletes and influencers have invested in the SLAM investment fund, such as Blues players and ex-players Raphaël Varane, William Saliba (Arsenal) and Randal Kolo Muani, the PSG striker. Basketball player Rudy Gobert and Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly have also invested.
