On October 28, during the ceremony at the Théâtre du Chatelet in Paris, the name of the 68th France Football Ballon d’Or will finally be known. Several candidates emerge and claim the most prestigious individual trophy in the world of football.

Iconic coach of Atalanta Bergamo Gian Piero Gasperini revealed his favorite for the supreme title. And he’s not a Real Madrid player, nor a Manchester City player. For him, his striker Ademola Lookman deserves to win the title. “My personal vote for the Ballon d’Or would go to Ademola Lookman. His magical skills helped us win the Europa League,” he declared in comments reported by Sky Italia.

Vinicius Junior the big favorite

Ademola Lookman had a great year 2023-2024 in the colors of Atalanta Bergamo but also with Nigeria where he reached the final of the Africa Cup of Nations. With the Italian club he won the Europa League, notably scoring a hat-trick in the final against Bayer Leverkusen.

An XXL performance which won over the biggest observers. However, this should not be enough to win the title. The big favorite is Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian from Real Madrid should, unless there is a surprise, be crowned France Football 2024 Ballon d’Or and become the first Brazilian since Kaka in 2007 to win the trophy.
