Virgil Van Dijk does not intend to linger with the selection of the Netherlands. The Dutch central defender will shorten this international break and return to England, in order to prepare for the next domestic and European matches for his club, Liverpool.
Van Dijk must in fact serve a one-match suspension after receiving a red card during the Netherlands’ match against Hungary on Friday (1-1). A little hiccup for the defensive leader of the Netherlands, an essential link in the Batavian selection.
