Now director of football at Red Bull, Jürgen Klopp will soon have Paris FC under his control. But for the moment the German has no intention of taking up a coaching position.

These are two separate pieces of information, which raised a question. Since Jürgen Klopp has joined the Red Bull galaxy, and since Red Bull is going to buy Paris FC in the company of the giant LVMH, why would the German coach not, in the long term, become the coach of the other club in the capital?

Let’s say it clearly, this is not on the agenda. Sky Sports takes stock of Klopp’s arrival, and specifies that the former coach of Dortmund and Liverpool “consciously” chose his new role: Global Head of Soccer, or global director of football.

Klopp no longer wants to be a coach at the moment

While he left the Reds because he said he was running out of energy, Klopp does not intend to occupy a coaching position within a Red Bull team (Leipzig, Salzburg, etc.), or at least not immediately. Only the German selection could interest him, in the short term, but the position currently occupied by Julian Nagelsmann would still have to become available.

The duration of Klopp’s contract has not been revealed but the native of Stuttgart, who will receive a colossal salary (around 10-12 million per year), is committed for the long term. There is no release clause in his lease, but Klopp has reportedly received assurances from Red Bull that he would be released if he received an attractive concrete offer.
