“Faced with this situation, the Senegalese Football Federation immediately requested the release of the player so that he can honor his call-up to the national team. The player Jakobs who was not involved in this situation left Istanbul yesterday and therefore already returned to the lair this Monday morning”indicated the FSF in a press release.
The Senegalese federation is within its rights. During international windows, Fifa requires clubs to release their players when they are called up for selection.
