A new twist for the new Paris Saint-Germain stadium. Paris City Hall does not, in fact, still want to see the club leave the capital and settle elsewhere. According to information from the regional daily The Parisianthe municipal majority should thus present this Thursday to the Council of Paris a wish before it “ allow recourse to administrative justice in order to cancel the reservation of land » in favor of the construction of a new stadium supposed to eventually accommodate PSG.
As a reminder, several Ile-de-France town halls have already applied to host the potential new 60,000-seat stadium desired by PSG president Nasser al-Khelaïfi. Among them, in particular that of Montigny-le-Bretonneux (Yvelines) and Aulnay-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis). The Ile-de-France Region has, for its part, reserved around fifty hectares, the precise location of which is not yet known, for the creation of a new sports venue for PSG. Which would therefore have pushed the city of Paris to act quickly, in the hope of keeping the club within its walls.
