Following the 9th day of La Liga this Sunday, Sevilla FC welcomed its worst rival, Real Betis, on the lawn of the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium, for the historic derby of the Andalusian capital. A rather balanced match which ultimately logically ended in a narrow victory for Francisco Javier García Pimienta’s troops. After a first period of duel, Dodi Lukebakio opened the scoring with a penalty (50th). Enough to pocket the victory (1-0).
In the standings, Sevilla FC temporarily climbs to 12th place, while Real Betis remains around the soft underbelly by occupying this 10th position. Next weekend, the Rojiblancos will face FC Barcelona in Catalonia, while the Verdiblancos will play away against Osasuna in the city of Pamplona, during the 10th day of the Spanish championship.
