AC Milan fell against Fiorentina, notably due to the two penalties saved by David De Gea.

After a year of absence and doubts about what to do with his career after the end of his adventure at Manchester United, David De Gea is really back. The Fiorentina goalkeeper greatly contributed to his team’s 2-1 victory against AC Milan on Sunday, at the end of the 7th day of Serie A.

After three victories in a row, the Rossoneri fell to the Viola, after having obtained two penalties, all saved by David De Gea. It was first the full-back of the French team Théo Hernandez who failed against the former Red Devils goalkeeper (45th+1), before Tammy Abraham was also defeated in the exercise (56th). In this somewhat crazy match, Moïse Kean, the Fio striker, also missed a shot on goal, stopped by Mike Maignan (22nd).

Adli punishes his former club

Fiorentina, which had been stalling since the start of the season, opened the scoring with a superb cross strike from Yacine Adli, the former midfielder for the Girondins de Bordeaux and… AC Milan (1-0, 35th). The Milanese managed to equalize after their failures thanks to Christian Pulisic on a superb recovery from the inside of the foot towards the small opposite net (1-1, 60th). Gudmundsson, with a low recovery, capsized the Artemio-Franchi stadium (2-1, 73rd).

Fiorentina is now 10th, while AC Milan, with Théo Hernandez sent off from the bench at the end of the match, is 6th, five points behind leader Naples.
