This Sunday at 3 p.m., the 7th day of the Premier League continued with a duplex which allowed us to see if Chelsea could continue their excellent momentum. Undefeated since August 29 in all competitions, the Blues traveled to Nottingham Forest. In the first period, the debates were fairly balanced. The Trees had the first opportunity but Robert Sanchez got in front of Yates’ head (12th). London’s reactions were not enough (24th, 42nd) and the score remained goalless at the break. However, the meeting got wild as soon as they returned from the locker room. From a corner, Nikola Milenkovic headed a header which ultimately benefited Chris Wood, who opened the scoring from close range (1-0, 50th). However, the reaction of Enzo Maresca’s men was not long in coming and Noni Madueke, in good form, equalized on a delicious serve from Cole Palmer (1-1, 57th).

And despite the exclusion of James Ward-Prowse in the 78th minute, Chelsea were unable to snatch victory in the final moments after added time which lasted almost a quarter of an hour. With this draw point, the residents of Stamford Bridge remain fourth. In the other 3 p.m. match, Manchester United no longer had the right to make mistakes. While Jim Ratcliffe, the club’s owner, was present as a final warning to Erik Ten Hag, the Red Devils were dealing with an increasingly colossal Aston Villa as the weeks went by. Ultimately, the meeting was more gloomy than expected. In the first period, the Villans showed no offensive energy against the Mancuniens who were incisive in pressing. Returning from the locker room, the locals offered slightly more in the offensive phase while the visitors hit the crossbar following an inspired attempt from Bruno Fernandes (68th). Ultimately, the match ended in a goalless and soporific draw. United remain in difficulty in 14th place while Villa are treading water in 5th place.
