After a delicate start to the season, Stade Rennais has completely turned its organization chart upside down.

The information had the effect of a small bomb this Friday evening: the Stade Rennais is making its little revolution behind the scenes. Executive president Olivier Cloarec was dismissed from his position by the Pinault family. He is replaced by the former general director of the Racing Club de Lens, Arnaud Pouille.

By combining his expertise in the management of a professional football club and his mastery of the technical and human issues of high-level sport, Arnaud Pouille will have the mission of instilling a new dynamic of success at Stade Rennais FC in the short, medium and long term“, we can read in an official press release published by Rennes.

Rennes takes a 180 degree turn

“I am very happy and proud to join Stade Rennais FCenthused Arnaud Pouille. I am already 100% committed to the future of this prestigious club and I thank Mr. François-Henri Pinault for his confidence. I am convinced that Stade Rennais FC has all the assets to assert its sporting ambition in the context of future national and European competitions. »

François Henri-Pinault, shareholder of the club, wanted to thank Olivier Cloarec: “Olivier had the difficult task of assuming interim general management during Nicolas Holveck’s illness and then as Executive Chairman in his own right. I would like to salute his commitment and his exemplary professionalism in the service of Stade Rennais FC in a complex context.”

As a reminder, this major change comes after an already very turbulent summer, with significant recruitment, the departures of numerous executives and that of sports director Florian Maurice, replaced by
Frederic Massara.
