PSG has made an irrevocable decision with Ousmane Dembélé

Paris Saint-Germain has a knack for creating problems. If we thought that the departure of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid would change things, we were wrong. Yesterday, the capital club had to manage a new affair. This time, it’s Ousmane Dembélé who is on the front line. Indeed, Luis Enrique decided not to call him up for the trip to the Emirates Stadium in the Champions League. A very surprising decision since the 27-year-old footballer is one of the important elements of the Parisian squad this season (4 goals and 3 assists in 7 appearances in all competitions, including 5 starts). Quickly, some spoke of great tensions between the Asturian coach and his player after the meeting against Rennes last weekend.

A few hours later, “Lucho” decided to clarify things at a press conference. “If someone seriously fails to respect their obligations to the team, that means to me that they are not prepared. I consider this week to be important. Before such an important match like this, I want all the players to be in the best possible condition. I put him aside and I want the best for the team (…) I have nothing to add to my previous answers. You have plenty to do. (…) I am very sincere, but I am not going to make a telenovela out of it. There was no argument between the coach and the player, that is completely false. There is just a problem of commitment from the player to the team and not between the player and the coach.

No ethics bonus for Dembouz

Quickly, Canal+ revealed that the president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, although very close to Dembouz, accepted and supported his coach’s decision. But this choice was not understood by everyone within the capital club. Indeed, The Parisian explains that this strong choice surprised more than one at PSG. Same story in the columns of The Team where we learn that some did not understand Luis Enrique’s “radical decision” while the exchange he had with Dembélé was normal. The sports daily specifies that this is not the first time that the “rigidity” of the coach, who has already been the subject of complaints from the French player in the past, has been singled out.

But Luis Enrique remains faithful to his principles and values, as well as his ideas. He therefore made a decision yesterday by deciding to do without Ousmane Dembélé. In addition to not participating in tonight’s five-star match against the Gunners, the striker will be sanctioned by his club. Indeed, The Team assures that the Ile-de-France residents will withdraw his ethics bonus. On the other hand, he will not be away from the field for very long since, barring a turnaround, he should rejoin the group fairly quickly. In the meantime, he will follow his family remotely this evening.

For this match, Parions Sport en Ligne offers you a welcome bonus of €85 and €15 no deposit with the code FM15. PSG’s victory can earn you €420.
