Serie A: Empoli and Fiorentina leave with a goalless draw

After their first league victory of the season against Lazio last weekend, Fiorentina were keen to continue their momentum at Empoli. But the Viola failed to continue and conceded a draw (0-0) against the Azzurri of Roberto D’Aversa who have still not experienced the slightest defeat this season.

In the standings, the teammates of Moïse Kean and Jonathan Ikoné are 11th in Serie A, tied on points with Atalanta and Bologna. Empoli are in sixth position, just behind Napoli who have the same number of points, but with a game in hand.
