PSG resumes its march forward

Paris Saint-Germain won against Stade Rennais this Friday for the 6th day of Ligue 1 (3-1).

In the frenetic atmosphere of the capital, the slightest gust of wind takes on rather disproportionate proportions. Paris Saint-Germain had an almost perfect start to the season, with a four out of four, but last week ended with a sluggish victory against Girona in the Champions League (1-0) and a disappointing draw in Reims (1 -1), relaunched all the debates on Luis Enrique’s project.

The PSG coach preferred to use irony to react to the comments. Still, his team had a response to give, at the Parc, this Friday, against a Rennes team who often give him a hard time, but who have also been blowing hot and cold since the start of the season. And the Parisians succeeded.

Dazzling barcola

Enterprising in the game, more incisive in materializing their times of possession, and above all more efficient in the last gesture, the French champions have provided the necessary ingredients to spend a rather quiet evening. A match which was settled thanks to Bradley Barcola, author of a curled and released shot after a superb sequence (1-0, 30th).

The second act was quite intense, but Paris did not let up yet. Concentrated, Luis Enrique’s men even managed to take off, Barcola going for his double (3-0, 68th) after Lee Kang-in made the break (2-0, 50th). The reduction in the score of the former Parisian Kalimuendo from the penalty spot changed nothing (3-1, 75th). An advantage managed until the final whistle by a team sure of its strength. Before a perilous trip to Arsenal, it looks like ideal preparation.
