Following the 8th day of La Liga, Getafe hosted the Alavés club in the Madrid suburbs, on the pitch of the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez. A rather balanced match which was ultimately won by the locals, more efficient and realistic in front of goal. Indeed, after Mauro Arambarri opened the score in the first period (42nd), Luis Milla was able to double the lead after returning from the locker room (58th) to validate the success of the Azulones (2-0) at home.
In the standings, Getafe takes valuable points and temporarily climbs to 14th place, while Alavés remains not far from its soft-stomach opponents with this interesting 6th position. Next weekend, the Azulones will host the Osasuna club, while the Babazorros will play at home against FC Barcelona, during the 9th day of the Spanish championship.
