Ligue 1 begins its 6th day this evening with a duel between Auxerre and Brest at 7 p.m. Two hours later, it was PSG’s turn to take the stage. The reigning French champion hosts Stade Rennais at the Parc des Princes, last rehearsal before traveling to Arsenal next Tuesday evening for the second day of the Champions League. Faced with an irregular Breton team at the start of the season and still looking for benchmarks after having extensively renewed its squad, the capital club appears to be the big favorite for this meeting.

There are still some uncertainties around the squad due to a large number of absentees, starting with Donnarumma. Safonov will play a third game in a row in goal. The defense should return more or less to normal after an unusual appearance during the draw in Reims. Hakimi would be aligned on the right with a Marquinhos-Pacho hinge at his side. Sick this week and not called up this evening, Nuno Mendes will not be able to hold his place in the left lane. It is therefore Beraldo who leaves with a head start. In the middle, we could also have some modifications.

Zaire-Emery expected in the middle, Barcola on the bench

Lined up as a right defender last week, Zaire-Emery would return to his favorite place, that is to say in the midfield. To accompany him, Luis Enrique would plan to send Neves low, in addition to Ruiz a notch higher. It must be said that there is not much choice due to the numerous packages, Vitinha is for example in the recovery phase. Finally, up front, there isn’t too much suspense. Barcola on the bench, Dembélé and Lee are expected in the corridors to accompany Kolo Muani, aligned as a striker. Offensive solutions are lacking since Asensio is in the recovery phase, and Doué trained separately.

The former Rennais will not find his former partners this evening. Julien Stéphan should present a 3-4-3 team, as has been the case since the start of the season. Faulty on the Lens equalizer at the last minute, Mandanda will still start, protected by an Ostigard-Wooh-Seidu defense. Hateboer would therefore pay the price. Assignon and Truffert would start as starters in the piston roles, and would surround a double pivot made up of Matusiwa and Santamaria. Finally, the attacking trio would move slightly since Kalimuendo, scorer against Lens, would give way to Gouiri, supported by Blas and Gronbaek.
