Having become the entry passport for several players to the French team in recent years, such as Florian Thauvin, Boubacar Kamara, William Saliba and Mattéo Guendouzi, OM is still called upon to produce new internationals in the future (Merlin, Wahi, Brassier?)… And perhaps to repatriate some. In an interview with FreeMattéo Guendouzi has indeed left the door open to a return to Marseille in the future.

Coming back to Marseille? It could be a great opportunity in the future, it’s a club that I carry in my heart, and everyone knows it. I spent two wonderful seasons thererecalls the current Lazio midfielder. I would have liked to win a trophy for the fans and the club, because they deserve it. But I hope they will win some, whether this season or in the future. Now, I am very happy at Lazio, things are going really well, we are playing in the European Cup… I have a very good team, there are also players who played at OM like Nuno Tavares and Samuel Gigot. So I think about the present, and Lazio is the most important thing..”
