Returning to Fluminense this summer, Thiago Silva (40 years old) continues to have fun playing football. The Brazilian central defender already has 12 matches under his belt and is ambitious with a club that helped him grow before going to AC Milan. In an interview for the Paris Saint-Germain website where he looked back on his career with the Parisians, Thiago Silva announced that he was not thinking about retirement yet.
“I don’t know how much longer I’ll play! I’m just happy to be back home. I left Fluminense for Europe 15 years ago so coming back here is magical, especially at a time when the club really needs it. I’m here to help. Even though I’m almost 40, I’m still happy when I’m on the pitch. When that’s not the case anymore, when I’m not happy to be here anymore, then the time will come to end my career. But not now.”he said.
