Juventus are considering signing Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as early as next year, with the Super Eagle returning to the league that made his name if the move goes through.
This is according to Paolo Paganini, head of Rai Sports’ football department, who claims that Juve no longer have confidence in Dusan Vlahovic to become a top striker. He revealed that the Serbian international, “Compared to other strikers in the Italian league, like Lautaro Martinez or Osimhen from Napoli, he is not at that level, Juventus does not have a top-level first striker.”
Osimhen in competition with a Lille player
“Osimhen, it’s true that he has a big release clause, but the relationship between Osimhen, his agent and (Juve boss Cristiano) Giuntoli is very strong, so be careful because this summer there could be a sensational return.”Paganini added.
Osimhen, who also had contacts with PSG at one point, would not however be the only center forward targeted by the Old Lady. “The other one is (Jonathan) David, the center forward of Lille, Canadian, so there is also a niche for non-EU players, his contract expires in 2025,” concluded the transalpine journalist.
