Bottom-of-the-table duel in Italy on this sunny Sunday at our transalpine neighbors. Monza, fifteenth, hosted a disappointing Bologna team, who had still not won after four Serie A games and who had to settle for a 0-0 against Shakhtar in the Champions League. Two teams with the same accounting record – 3 draws and 1 defeat – despite very different ambitions.

Urbanski gave Bologna the lead in the 24th minute with a superb header into the far post. His first goal in Serie A. But Djuric equalised shortly before the break, sending the ball into the back of the net after a shot was blocked by the keeper. It was finally Santiago Castro, the Argentinian striker, who gave Bologna the three points with a missile from outside the area. With this victory, Bologna climbs to eleventh in the Serie A standings, while Monza is eighteenth.
