The former communications director of FC Nantes was keen to deny the information from L’Equipe concerning a possible takeover of the Canaries.

If Pascal Praud says so… The presenter of CNews and Europe 1 spoke this Saturday morning about the possible sale of FC Nantes. The former director of communications for the Canaries firmly contradicted the information from L’Equipe concerning discussions between Waldemar Kita, the owner of FCN, and an English investment fund, behind which we find Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Liverpool player.

“The information reported by the press on the sale of FC Nantes is not based on any element, explained Pascal Praud this Saturday morning on X (ex-Twitter). Waldemar Kita does not know any of the interlocutors mentioned in some newspapers. The FCN president is said to have travelled to London when he was in the south of France. I have a great deal of friendship for Waldemar Kita. I think I know him quite well. The sale of FCN is not on the agenda.”

Kita seller or not?

Waldemar Kita himself denied this information to Presse-Océan, assuring that he did not know Trent Alexander-Arnold and his family. But at the same time, Ouest-France quoted a source close to the Nantes president assuring that the latter was a salesman “100%” and listening to offers concerning his club. We know that, in these cases, discretion is often an asset to succeed in such a transaction.
