Borussia Dortmund and PSG almost got his services, apparently in agreement with OL for a transfer of 15 million euros. However, Rayan Cherki remains a Gone at the moment. And more than ever.
This Saturday, the Rhone club announced the contract extension of the 21-year-old striker. While his lease expired in June 2025, an agreement for two additional years, including one optional – until June 2027, therefore – was ratified this weekend.
Back against OM?
Rayan Cherki will thus be automatically extended from 2026 to 2027 if he remains in Lyon at the end of the next transfer window, on 1er September 2025. A maneuver intended to best promote the French Espoirs international.
With his contractual situation settled, Rayan Cherki will be able to reintegrate Pierre Sage’s group, and in particular claim a place in the team called to face OM on Sunday evening, at the end of the 5e Ligue 1 matchday. The player has not played in an official match since the 2024 Olympic final lost by Thierry Henry’s Blues against Spain on August 9 (3-5, after extra time).
