FC Barcelona wants to quickly close the deal with Nike

Associated with Nike since 1998, FC Barcelona wants to sign a new contract with the American equipment manufacturer. According to World Sportsthe goal of the board of directors of the Catalan club is to close this contract in 15 days. A meeting took place this Tuesday between the two parties and a new meeting will take place next week with Nike’s legal advisers to examine the clauses of the future contract.

Also according to the Iberian media, Barça is looking for a deal of at least ten years with more than 90 million per season and a signing bonus of more than 100 million. The club chaired by Joan Laporta also wants to preserve ownership of Barça Licensing and Merchandising (BLM) – a commercial operating company created by Josep Maria Bartomeu – while Nike wants a percentage.
