After Lille this Tuesday, it was the turn of
Paris Saint-Germain
to begin its campaign for the 2024-25 edition of the Champions League. This European evening was marked by several shocks.

Earlier in the evening, Bologna and Shakhtar Donetsk drew 0-0, while Czech side Sparta Prague beat RB Salzburg 3-0. Kairinen opened the scoring in the second minute, Olatunji doubled the lead before the break (42nd minute), and Laci sealed the victory in the second half (58th minute).

Manchester City stumbles against Inter Milan

The clash between Manchester City and Inter Milan, a remake of the 2023 final, ended in a draw (0-0). At the Etihad Stadium, the English champions failed to get the better of their opponents.

Borussia Dortmund had to wait until the last quarter of an hour to break the deadlock against Bruges. Young Jamie Bynoe-Gittens opened the scoring in the 76th minute, before doubling the lead ten minutes later. Finally, Serhou Guirassy sealed the victory by converting a penalty in added time (90+5th).
