For their first European outing of the season, PSG suffered but ultimately got the three points on the gong, taking advantage of a terrible error by the Girona goalkeeper. Present in the mixed zone after the match, Achraf Hakimi (25 years old), credited with a 3.5 by the FM editorial team, also tried to explain the difficulties encountered by the Parisians. It was also an opportunity for the Moroccan full-back to praise the state of mind of the Parisian collective.

“We scored at the end, it was a difficult match. They tried to take the ball away from us, to put good pressure on us. We were patient and we managed to score. It was a bit frustrating that it didn’t want to go in. We made some good decisions at the end, with a bit of luck, but we had to go and get it. We had a lot of chances, we tried to find the spaces, then they dropped the pace a bit too. The coach asks me to create spaces, I’m a player who wants to help the team. I’m happy with my work.”.
