Former Barca player and coach Quique Setien has said he enjoyed his time at the helm of the club. He also refuted reports that he left after falling out with former Blaugrana star Lionel Messi.
Asked if coaching Leo Messi was a unique experience, Setién answered without hesitation:
“Yes, definitely. Not everyone can say they did it. It was an extraordinary experience.”

In an interview with Cadena SER, he also said: “For me, coaching Barça has been something special. It’s the best thing, being able to coach a team that plays the way you like, without having to start working on something new. At Barça I learned a lot of things that I continue to do today.”
Regarding the money he has not yet received due to his dismissal, Setién revealed: “I have not yet finished receiving the payment from Barça, but I have a contract that expires at the end of this month, four years later.”
