It’s the big day for PSG. Nearly four months after their frustrating elimination against Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals, the capital club is back in the Champions League. And to kick off this completely new European campaign, with the reform of the C1 requiring it, the French champions will have to pass a serious test.
While the name may not be as big as Arsenal, Manchester City or Bayern Munich, Girona were the surprise team of last season in La Liga and will hope to continue to amaze in the Champions League. Having to deal with several important departures during the transfer window, the Catalan club has nevertheless started its season modestly, with only two defeats and a draw in five matches.

Conversely, if PSG must learn to live without Kylian Mbappé, who left for Real Madrid, the Parisians have signed a flawless League with four victories in four matches. Enough to fill up with confidence before starting their European adventure. A first that will be missed by Presnel Kimpembe, Lucas Hernandez, Gonçalo Ramos and Gianluigi Donnarumma, all injured. Warren Zaire-Emery and Vitinha will be present, however.
The PSG-Girona match will kick off at 9 p.m. and will be broadcast on Canal+, the exclusive broadcaster of the Champions League since this season.
