UEFA has rearranged its schedule this season. One of the consequences of this move is that the Europa League and Europa Conference League matches will no longer be played in the same week as the Champions League.
With more C1 matches, there will now be an alternation. The first week will be reserved for the most beautiful of continental competitions, and the following for the other two events. This is not necessarily bad news, since there will be continental games without interruption until the end of January.
Lyon and Lens on standby
As in the Champions League, the 18 matches of each day will be divided equally between Tuesday and Thursday evening, with also two different time slots (6:45 p.m. and 9 p.m.).
OGC Nice and Lyon will therefore have to wait until next week to make their debut in C3. It will be against Real Sociedad and Olympiakos respectively. Note that in C4, however, there is no French representative following the elimination of RC Lens in the play-offs.
