On Monday evening, Adrien Rabiot set foot in the Phocaean city. The French international’s plane landed at Marseille-Provence airport. The former Paris Saint-Germain player was thus able to speak for the first time about
his choice to sign for OM.
“It happened like that, at first it seemed improbable and finally after talking a lot with Medhi, he presented the project to me, I joined in, said the former Juventus Turin player. I also spoke with the coach (Roberto De Zerbi, editor’s note), it really spoke to me on a sporting level. Plus the atmosphere, the fervour, the stadium, the public who live football…” said the midfielder as he got off the plane.
Rabiot reveals his objectives with OM
Adrien Rabiot has no shortage of ambition. “The goal is to win, to get back into the Champions League. I don’t know if I’ll be able to play the Olympico (in Lyon on Sunday at 8:45 p.m., editor’s note)if I will be fit, but I will be with the group in any case. I can’t wait to train and get back to the Vélodrome.”warned the native of Saint-Maurice (Val-de-Marne).
The 29-year-old player arrived at OM on a free transfer. His lease with the
Juventus Turin had expired on June 30th. The amount of salary he will receive at his new club has not yet been revealed. However, it should be much lower than the one he received at the Old Lady.
