Lens and Lyon back to back

At the end of a rather dull match, RC Lens and Olympique Lyonnais drew 0-0 at the end of the 4th day of Ligue 1.

No winner, and a draw that suits no one. This Lens-Lyon, a match on the 4th day of Ligue 1 between two teams that have taken at least one blow this summer (in the Conference League for Lens, in the championship for OL), ended in a sad 0-0.

There was a show in the stands, with the chants of the Blood and Gold and the many banners hostile to the LFP, but not much on the pitch. For this trip to Bollaert, Pierre Sage had decided to adapt his system to that of the Lensois by opting for 3-5-2 with the Lacazette-Orban duo in attack. It worked well, since the defense appeared solid, while Lacazette had the best opportunity of the first period, with this shot pushed back by Samba (32nd). Orban, for his part, had two goals disallowed for offsides.

Lens fourth

Lens, for their part, accelerated in the second half, with a few attempts by Labeau-Lascary, Medina and Ojediran, but Will Still’s team will have to settle for this point which allows them to move up to fourth place in Ligue 1, which is already something. With 4 points in 4 games, OL occupies 13th place.
