Lamine Yamal started this season as he had finished the previous one. In only 4 games with FC Barcelona, the Spanish striker scored one goal and provided 4 assists. The young prodigy from La Masia also shone during the international break, signing great performances with Spain, notably during the victory against Switzerland (1-4) in the Nations League.
To encourage him to keep up this pace, Hansi Flick, his coach at Barça, gave him some valuable advice. The German coach insisted on the importance of not letting up on his efforts.
No rest for champions
“Lamine is at a high level but at his age he can still improve and he has to do it,” the German told the media. “It’s great to see every day in training. He has to keep going, grow, work hard,” explained the Catalan coach.
Hansi Flick reminded that hard work is the key to success. “Champions never rest. That’s a good piece of advice I can give him. If you want to be a great champion, you should never rest. Keep going,”
he stressed.
