Quite simply a legend. From 2005 to 2022, Giorgio Chiellini wrote the best pages of his career with Juventus Turin. An uncompromising defender in duels and refined in the recovery, the Italian ended his career on the other side of the Atlantic, to offer himself a last luxury gig with Los Angeles FC. Retired from the field since 2023, the man with nine Serie A titles will return to the side of his great love. Indeed, today aged 40, the defender with 117 caps for Italy is back at Juve.
In a press release, the Old Lady announced the return of one of its legends, who will have a special role in the Piedmontese organization: “Giorgio Chiellini has never stopped being black and white: in his heart, in his soul, in the values he has always interpreted, on and off the pitch. From 16 September, he will wear the Juventus coach’s jersey as Head of Football Institutional Relations. Giorgio will work directly under the direction of CEO Maurizio Scanavino, thus beginning a managerial journey that will see him commit to representing the Club in relations with national and international football institutions. This role fits perfectly with the training that Giorgio has acquired in his academic field, but obviously also with his figure as a man, a footballer, a captain and a Juventus legend.
